Patti Zolnick was born and raised in Lincroft, New Jersey. Pursuing her interest in biology and human anatomy, she graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in biology. While there, she met her husband Mark and after graduation they moved to Philadelphia where Mark studied medicine. Ready for some change from the east coast, they moved west to Utah. Here, Patti cultivated her deep appreciation for the outdoors through hiking and skiing laying the foundation for many future outdoor adventures with her family. Mark and Patti later moved to Minnesota for a short stint before returning to the east coast where they settled in Delaware and raised their three children. After sending all the kids to college, Patti and Mark fulfilled their dream of moving back to the west and settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2008.

Patti has been making photos most of her life. Whether Patti is taking photos of her childrens’ sport teams or of leopards and lion cubs on safari in Africa, photography has always been an important part of her life. Pursuing her love of travel, Patti has traveled extensively around the world, including trips to the top of Kilimanjaro and the mountains of Patagonia. Since moving to New Mexico, Patti’s love of photography has flourished, inspired by the architecture, landscape and light of Santa Fe. She continues her studies with fine art photographer Derek Von Briesen.

Patti is also a  500 hour RYT (registered yoga teacher) and teaches private and group classes in Santa Fe. She offers photography and yoga workshops.
